Welcome to week 10 of the Wilson Music Studio Amazing Race!

You will be learning about Manuel de Falla. You can find a biography here. I think you'll find a lot of interesting things about this composer!

We have finished one-third of our tasks! Congratulations for staying with us so far. Our ninth task is a practice task. It can be a lot of fun, but may also create some frustration for students who have a difficult time keeping a steady beat when they play. I would like students to practice their scales (older students), Dozen a Day (Silas) or Keyboard Kickoff piece (Owen, Ryleigh, Nora) with a drum track background. This is good practice to settle into a steady beat and play more accurately. I have chosen this video for its moderate tempo. I will be listening to them play their scale/Dozen a Day/Keyboard Kickoff piece with this track at their next lesson.

Our eighth task is a Performance task. Students should be prepared to perform a mini-recital of 3 pieces learned this studio year (since September) for your family. Please send me an email with the word "Done." When this has been accomplished.
