Wilson Music Studio

I began my musical adventure when I was five years old. I came home from my first piano lesson and declared that I would be a music teacher someday just like my beloved piano teacher. I taught my first private lessons over 25 years ago in high school. I received my Bachelor of Music in Education from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, followed by my Masters in Music Education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. For thirteen years, I taught elementary vocal music for Omaha Public Schools. During that time, I added Kodály certification to my education and went on to serve a term as the President of the Plains States Kodály Organization (PSKOR.) I have lived in Ashland since 1999 and started teaching piano lessons in the community shortly after moving here.

It is truly a delight and joy to teach such a diverse group of students with varying learning styles and strengths. This is such a wonderful community, and I hope to empower each student to share the beauty of music with those around them.

"Often a single experience will open the young soul to music for a whole lifetime." Zoltan Kodály
