You get a two-fer this week! Students will learn AND listen to our new composer. You can print the listening guide/application here. (Some students have had luck making a copy of the file, filling it out and emailing it back to me if you don't have a printer.)

This week's task is a practice task. Many students are still struggling to internalize a steady beat. So this week, I would like students to practice with a metronome (you can download a free app, or just Google "Metronome) every time they practice their scales (older students) or warm-ups (Dozen a Day/Supersonics for younger students.) 

I will be checking their success with this task at their next lesson.

Welcome to Week 20! You have certainly shown great stamina making it this far. We only have FIVE tasks left! You can do this. 

This week's task is a PERFORMANCE task. You have until your next private lesson in three weeks to complete this task. You need to find 2 pieces (or more) that you are very proud of playing. Find a friend or family member you don't see often and ask your grown-up to help arrange a time to video chat with them. On that video chat, you will perform your 2 (or more) pieces.
